Job Position: Line Cook

Barrel Brothers Brewing Company Kitchen and Cocktails features a street food-inspired rotating menu and a Sonoma County original 39 tap self-pour tap wall.

Organizational Function:

  • Back of House employee

  • Full Time/Part Time 20-40 hrs per week

  • Hourly Pay: $20 + Tip Pool allocation

Responsibilities:

● Understanding of culinary terms, techniques & safety.

● Some proficiency in kitchen operations & equipment.

● Completes inventory, stocking & ordering of items.

● Ensures presentation of food items adheres to guidelines.

● Follows recipes, scales ingredients, and uses proper kitchen techniques when preparing dishes.

● Ensures kitchen runs efficiently by completing prep cooking as needed.

● Keeps kitchen and workstations clean and sanitary.

● Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

● Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

● Displays excellent communication including the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.

● Adheres to all safety and operational standards.

Qualifications:

● 1+ years experience working on the line: hot, pantry, or prep.

● Must be available to work some nights and weekends.

● Skilled prep practices, including keeping a tidy station and good prioritization of tasks.

● Capable of remaining calm under pressure.

● Positive verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with coworkers in a courteous and productive way.

● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend up to six hours standing/walking.

● Punctual to shifts and able to give advance notice for time off.

This position reports to the Kitchen Manager and acting General Manager and has responsibility for contributing to the day-to-day back of house operations of the Kitchen as well as other strategic objectives of the restaurant management team.
