Job Position: Facility Maintenance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for keeping brewery equipment running to its full potential with a minimum amount of downtime.

  • Performing advanced electrical, programming, and mechanical troubleshooting on all equipment.

  • Entering and completing work orders by logging actions and findings in an accurate and timely fashion in a maintenance program.

  • Ability to accurately diagnose the source of failures and make emergency repairs to all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems as needed to return systems to service and minimize production downtime.

  • Complete installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic & electrical equipment including plant control systems, motor control circuitry including variable frequency drives.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, configure and program automated control systems involving VFDs, Flow/ Pressure/ Temperature Monitors and Process Analyzers, or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems.

  • Assisting plant operations in setting up and making running adjustments to equipment to maintain maximum efficiency.

  • Handling a large work load with multiple preventive and repair tasks/projects.

  • Ability to install, set up, and troubleshoot communications modules and control components to include photo eyes, motor starters, Servo drives, encoders, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, motors, and other line control devices.

  • Diagnose, repair and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting and related systems.

  • Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting a plus.

  • Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics and piping diagrams.

  • Skilled in application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, power tools and skilled in machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment.

  • Perform daily inspection of all brewery support utilities and equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3-5 years work experience in manufacturing in a dedicated maintenance role focused on repairing electrical or controls systems. (Or) in a field of industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field and performing similar job duties.

This position reports to Director of Operations and has responsibility for managing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the Production Department as well as other daily objectives of the production team.
